Each X12 file sent or received counts as one transaction — 834 enrollments, 835 remittances, 270/271 eligibility checks, 837 claims, 276/277 status, 820 premium. Acknowledgments (999, TA1) don't count.
We don't hard-stop. We auto-meter the overage at the published per-transaction rate, surface it in your dashboard before billing, and let you upgrade plans without losing context.
On the Enterprise tier, yes — VPC deployment with your own KMS keys. Otherwise we run on encrypted multi-tenant infrastructure with full row-level isolation.
X12 5010 only. 4010 is no longer accepted by major carriers; if you have a legacy 4010 export we can transform it on ingest, but transmissions are 5010 exclusively.
